Bearing Witness to the Light XLVIII...Lightning Strikes Twice, and then some

I love lightning. 
I've always had great appreciation
for both its power and danger.

What does God
reveal in Lightning?

Well firstly,
there is the oft quoted 
scriptural passage:

For just as the lightning

comes from the east

and flashes as far as the west,

so will be the coming

of the Son of Man.
(Matthew 24:27)

Ꚛ
Then there is the
lightning-like
countenance
of Our Lord

at
the 
Transfiguration.

Ꚛ
And Jesus describes
the falling of Satan
relative to the
power granted
to the
apostles
as like lightning
strikes from heaven.
(Luke 10:18)


Ꚛ
At the Resurrection, 
there was an angel
whose raiment 
is described
as white
as 
lightning

(Matthew 28:3)


Then there are the profound
Old Testament images 
of the power and glory;
 lightning
in Exodus, Ezekiel, Daniel,
Zechariah and the Psalms.

Yes, lightning is 
special in God's plan 
and
REVELATION

It (He) 
has something
 very important
 to teach us
about
LIGHT.
