The inspiration for Most Holy Trinity Chapel?
West Point's
Most Holy Trinity Chapel
is said to be inspired by a ancient church in England.
Waltham Abbey Church
I kinda see the original resemblance
Now this church in Essex County, England
(I was born in Essex County, NJ)
has a rose window (facing us)
that features Jesus Christ
sitting upon a rainbow.
I like this treatment with the Seven Days of Creation
This makes about 225 images of Our Lord and Savior
atop or surrounded by a glorious rainbow
out there in cyberspace.
I'm sure there are more to follow.
Yup....just found this wonderful early one:
Thessaloniki, Latomou Monastery
Hosios David Church
(5th-6th Century AD)
