Lord of the World...gulp

WOW!

I providentially came upon this book last week and it really served as a wake-up call. It is in the public domain and available online. It can be accessed in several formats to read or download and print if you prefer a hard copy.

It is bone chilling because although written in 1906, it seems to be coming true today.

It has been reviewed by others who have called it the first great dystopia, the granddaddy of works that include George Orwell's 1984, Aldous Huxley's The Brave New World, and more recently Michael O'Brien's Father Elijah.

Why was it so unnerving? Well for those of you who would like read it and find out for yourselves I will not spoil it for you.
