J.M.J. + O.B.T. + M.G.R.*
Today's prayers in the Magnificat April 2008 edition offer a wonderland of light. I would reprint the whole day's worth, they are that good, but this might be a violation of the copyright.
Great job...Fr. Cameron!
The Hymn
Though every sun shall spend its fire
And galaxies shall dim to shade
The Light by whom these lights were made
Shall never flicker, never fade.
In us arise, O Light of lights.
Burn brightly in the caverned heart.
Consume the shade that fear supplies,
And peace and truth instead impart.
and a few other passages:
The Word passes down the centuries, radiating light and love. -Dom Augustin Guillerand
The light from the empty tomb is a truth-teller: it reveals the truth of our goodness and our darker side. Because God loves us so, there is likely far more goodness than we have realized. Let us live gratefully in the good and set aside the darkness, that we may be beacons in the world around us.
In the light of God's loving face, we pray:
You are our light and our salvation!
May we live in the security of your presence and your love
May we commit our lives to you in fidelity and truth
May we trust in you to act toward us in love
May we turn away from evil and do good.
Light, Life, Love is the key!
Sincerely yours in Jesus and Mary,
