J.M.J. + O.B.T. + M.G.R.*
If God wills that I ever break out of this anonymity
I sense it will be through the instrumentality of some
other West Point graduate(s) who too see(s) the import
of mustering the remnant for a spiritual stand
against the forces of evil.
Strength as One (SAO),
Eighty-One
was/is the motto
of my graduating class
the Class of '81.
I spent all four years
in Company F-1
Flame One
The Marching 100
Why do I sense that my life will
not be complete until I take
part in a Long March to
the Washington Mall
for a peaceful and
holy monstration
of the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory
of Our Lord
and Savior
Jesus
Christ
Sincerely yours
in Jesus through Mary,
Mike Rizzio

President Ronald Regan delivered our Graduation Address on Wednesday, May 27, 1981. In it he provides this poignant reminder of America's spiritual destiny:
"At the end of World War II we alone were at the peak of our military strength—our great industrial capacity was untouched by war's destruction. And it was then that in those dark days that Pope Pius XII said, "America has a great genius for great and unselfish deeds; into the hands of America, God has placed an afflicted mankind."
We set out to restore the war ravaged lands of our erstwhile enemies as well as our friends. We prevented what could have been a retreat into the dark ages. Unfortunately another great power in the world was marching to a different drum beat..."
Later he adds:
Later he adds:
"At Trophy Point I'm told there are links of a great chain
that was forged and stretched across the Hudson to prevent the British fleet
from penetrating further into the valley. Today you are that chain holding back
an evil force that would extinguish the light we've been tending for 6,000
years."
