A STAR IS BORN

Baked this Christmas Bread just before sunrise yesterday. It is a rustic Italian no-knead recipe that I have been experimenting with...to try to perfect it. Well, when this one was baking, it filled the home with a pleasing aroma, and I knew it was special. It was. The whole experience is very symbolic and it is like praying the three pound loaf into being. We divided it (after sampling) and gifted half to a priest and deacon and half to religious sisters at our SOLT community meal.
