I might have guessed

 there would be three

and only three of these.

Might there be more clues that

reveal the hand of our Creator?

Well there is abundant mystery and confusion

as to just how they are formed.

Current research indicates

a both/and mechanism
(both genetic and in utero)

that commences around the 10th
and ends around the 24th week

of a baby's formation.

my hands are coded:

(1-Arch; 2-Loop;3-Whorl)

And some of them are really hard to differentiate.
