We Catholics know what the word 
INVOCATION means
at every Holy Mass

The INVOCATION is a sacred prayer
voiced by an ordained bishop/priest 
that calls down the Holy Spirit
to the altar, a Divine Action
that will at Christ's Word
transubstantiate the bread and wine
into the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity
of Our Lord God and Savior, Jesus Christ.   

The epiclesis  Ancient Greek: ἐπίκλησις "invocation" or "calling down from on high" is part of the  Anaphora (Eucharistic Prayer)

take courage from the massed
approach to the Source
of all Life, Love and Light 
 
The evil one is so cleaver, 
co-opting true ideas and words
and twisting them to confuse
the faithful and lead them astray.

We must stay vigilant.
  
The LORD is my light 
and my salvation; 
whom shall I fear...
