Jesus Christ, The Bridegroom IX

J.M.J. + O.B.T. + M.G.R.*

From the western Catholic perspective,
it appears as if the bride
is fast approaching physical death.

Today, the Church Militant
(the human, present day component 
of the Mystical Body of Christ, the bride)
is in the throes of the greatest worldwide crisis
it has ever had to content with.

Doctrinal and practical Unity is threatened on every front
and it appears as if a de facto split has already occurred.

Truth....
Goodness...
Beauty...
are all under attack, 
both from within and without.

This apostasy appears 
insurmountable
in our fast-paced, litigious,
relativism of the information age.

....worse than the Great Schism of the mid 11th Century
...worse than the Protestant Revolt of the early 16th Century
...worse than the so-called 'Enlightenment' of the late 18th Century

This is far worse,
 for the heresy of heresies
is a compilation of all heresies
that preceded it.

For the opposition of Truth,
"The heresy of heresies was
[is] common sense"
(George Orwell, in 1984)

Common sense goes hand-in-hand
with natural law and both are on the chopping block
as modernity moves ever closer to the abyss
that is the dictatorship of relativism.

There are blood martyrs, dying for Christ
every day in Africa and in the Mideast.

We have to see that it is by virtue of the blood of these martyrs
that the universal Church might be built up

The Bridegroom died and rose in 30 AD.

The Mystical Body of Christ (the Bride)
appears to be doing the same today.

Through it all Mother Mary
watches and waits
We must have our lamps
filled and burning too.
