Lightning does Strike Twice
The image was of the moment of the Doxology ("through Him, with Him, in Him") of the Eucharistic Prayer, just before the Great Amen. The Print Screen key captured both this top window image and the desktop image which scrolls every few minutes through various beautiful nature shots. Another "double exposure."
This time I was deeply moved because what I wanted to capture was:
first, this was the 33 image of 259 in the Picassa collection from the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the St. Mary's Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group (in Dubai of all places);
second, that these three concelebrating priests show the relationship of the Bread of Life to the "the lamp at our feet lighting the way";
third, that the chasubles of the three priests all witnessed to the Holy Spirit bringing rays of Divine Light to the altar where the three offered elements of Mass: bread, water and wine become for us the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord and Savior.
The significance? The Church teaches and I try to witness in this blog the Eucharist as the summit, the acme of the real rainbow bridge in Jesus Christ that connects the earth to heaven. This is the quintessential Mystery of Light.
I must read more.
