A Reflection from the Theologica Germanica (14th Century)
CHAPTER 40
But where the false light is, men no longer regard the life of Christ and the virtues, but they seek and purpose what is convenient and pleasant to nature. From this arises a false liberty, whereby men become regardless of everything. (((nowadays we say “Whatever!!!”))) For the true light is the seed of God, and bringeth forth the fruits of God; but the false light is the seed of the Devil, and where it is sown, the fruits of the Devil, nay the very Devil himself, spring up.
The false light sown by the devil leads to the ‘culture of death,” not life, and the passion of lust, not love.
GOOGLE Light, Life, Love, Liberty to see what happens in this regard: Gnostic heresies and neo-paganism, esoteric spiritualism, satanism, etc.
Here in a nutshell is what you will find:
________________________________
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

… For hear, how gracious is the Goddess; "I give unimaginable joys on earth: certainty, not faith, while in life, upon death; peace unutterable, rest, ecstasy; nor do I demand aught in sacrifice.'' …
II
..."There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt.'' Lift yourselves up! Walk forth with us in Light and Life and Love and Liberty, taking our pleasure as Kings and Queens in Heaven and on Earth…

These gifts from the Blessed Trinity should be bound so tightly and hugged so closely to one’s heart that there is no entryway for the Deceitful One. If Christianity was to do this with religious fervor, I believe we can witness to the solidarity that will usher in Pope John Paul II's New Springtime of Evangelization.
