Contemplating the Trinity, in Imitation of Mary

J.M.J. + O.B.T. + M.G.R.*

Do you see His imprint, His fingerprint on the Blueprint?
Mary was His masterpiece, “the singular boast of our human race”

The Blessed Virgin Mary was:

I.   GRACE conceptive—Daughter of the Father (Creator) who was both immaculately conceived and "Full of Grace."

II.  GRACE perceptive—Mother of the Son (Divine Wisdom) who lived in God's house, immersed herself in His Word and was open to the will of God in her life.

III. GRACE receptive—Spouse of the Holy Spirit (Love) who was prepared, a virgin for her bridegroom,  and gave her fiat all the way to Calvary and then as Mother of the Church.

Then, she was:

GRACE reflective—Woman "clothed with the Sun," through whom all grace makes its way from the God-head to mankind.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) states it thus:

1997 Grace is a participation in the life of God. It introduces us into the intimacy of Trinitarian life: by Baptism the Christian participates in the grace of Christ, the Head of his Body. As an "adopted son" he can henceforth call God "Father," in union with the only Son. He receives the life of the Spirit who breathes charity into him and who forms the Church.

In this light Mary's Magnificat her prayer of thanksgiving from the Gospel of Luke1:46-55 bears repeating:

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
My spirit rejoices in God my Savior.
For He has looked with favor on His lowly servant,
From this day all generations shall call me blessed.
The Almighty has done great things for me and holy is His name.
He has mercy is on those who fear Him in every generation.
He has shown strength of His arm:
He has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich He has sent empty away.
He has come to the help of His servant Israel,
For he has remembered His promise of mercy.
The promise He made to our fathers,
To Abraham and to his children forever.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
