or the designated custodians of the Fullness of Truth.

There really is no in-between, with tell-tale signs such as:

the Shroud of Turin that wrapped the Crucified Christ,
St. Juan Diego's tilma bearing the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe
and so many other manifestations of mystery that defy modern science
and human understanding.

Veronica's Veil is above.
I enhanced the image using a few 'magic' tricks on the PC.

Veronica (meaning True Icon) was given a visual record
of the Face of Jesus on the Way to the Cross...
it is not painted, it is visible on both sides of a fabric
so sheer that you can read a newspaper through it.
