R-G-B and our Understanding of God

 J.M.J. + O.B.T. + M.G.R.*

In the Trinitarian Family
that is God

Blue for the Father
Red for the Son
Green for the Holy Spirit

and in the Holy Family

Blue for Mother Mary
Red for Jesus (the Son)
Green for the Holy Spirit
(the Divine Spouse)
and St. Joseph (the Husband)

When we observe these three primary optical colors in relationship we can easily develop certain theological concepts and relay them to others in vivid light. Artists from both the East and West have known this for centuries.  We need to rediscover their work and apply it to the very visual age in which we live.

Look closely at the above image:

Now ponder the significance of Mary's relationship to the Holy Trinity in this work of art:

And how about Our Lady's crowning glory:

Sincerely yours in Jesus through Mary,
