Hillary in Robstown TX...bahhhhh

J.M.J. + O.B.T. + M.G.R.*

Well we made a stand yesterday, about a mile from where I am now typing. Hillary Rodham Clinton "graced" the Coastal Bend, and our very humble hometown of Robstown and you have never seen a civic turnout like it. The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe wasn't even close. They even bussed in kids from both elementary and secondary school...it was an event for the ages...a real dog and pony show in the bull-riding arena of the brand new Nueces County Fairgrounds.

We quickly worked up a few pro-life signs and we went as an Ecclesial Team to witness REAL HOPE, not only for joy and happiness in this world, but HOPE that promises everlasting life.

We will never know how many we reached, nor how many seeds we planted—the lined-up masses included probably 50-60 percent baptized Catholics—and the majority opinion was that we were anti-American, bigoted, unenlightened creeps who didn't know Sacred Scripture. I guess we have been lied to for so long we don't know right from wrong.

Most didn't know that Hillary supported the 5 Non-Negotiables for Voting Catholics:

1. Abortion
2. Euthanasia
3. Embryonic Stem Cell Research
4. Human Cloning
5. Same-Sex Marriage

At times we felt like crying, especially when grown women, aged 60-80 were rabid with speech toward us. Men stood by silent, abdicating their role as protector of womankind and it seemed that they too had swallowed the poisoned lie of "compassion speech" the drivel that flows from the likes of Oprah, Ellen D. and Hillary.

TRUTH just didn't matter... and it seemed that the several thousand who passed by were sheep being herded for _______. I kept hearing the profound words from Spe Salvi, we must be like Jesus, "teach truth and shepherd," "teach truth and shepherd." Pope Benedict's correctly termed it a "dictatorship of relativism" and like an invisible gray cloud, it hovered over the sprawling fairgrounds. "Don't judge" was a common refrain. Our response that we are not judging, only witnessing to truth, went nowhere.

After four hours we returned to the center sunburned and tired but with the satisfaction of knowing that Jesus promised us that this all is to be expected.

Sincerely yours in Jesus and Mary,
