Day-by-Day...Three things I pray...See Thee, Know Thee, Follow Thee
but then face to face.
Now I know in part,
but then I will know fully.
–St. Paul

Although the media of modern theater,
and a bunch of hippie performers may
does include a simple truth that:
DAY BY DAY
(we must all pray)
To see THEE more clearly
Love THEE more dearly
Follow THEE more nearly
here on earth. Clearly, dearly and nearly she followed Jesus Christ
by daily taking up her cross, and she was granted great blessings.
After Holy Communion, I was carried in spirit before the throne of God. There I saw heavenly Powers which incessantly praise God. Beyond the throne I saw a brightness inaccessible to creatures, and there only the Incarnate Word enters as Mediator. (Diary 85)
This privileged glimpse into the Eternal Holy of Holies brought St. Faustina great happiness, but also deep sorrow, for she confesses:
Oh my God, how I pity those people who do not believe in eternal life; how I pray for them that a ray of mercy would envelop them too, and that God would clasp them to His fatherly bosom. (Diary 780)
In loving Him more dearly, she learned the Mercy of His Sacred Heart:
I learned in the Heart of Jesus that in heaven itself there is a heaven to which not all, but only chosen souls, have access. Incomprehensible is the happiness in which the soul will be immersed. O my God, oh, that I could describe this, even in some small degree. Souls are penetrated by His divinity and pass from brightness to brightness, an unchanging light, but never monotonous, always new though never changing. O Holy Trinity, make Yourself known to souls! (Diary 592)
has brought us into being, and whose care guides us on our way.
Sincerely yours in Jesus through Mary,
