The Secret Life of Bees and the World's Greatest Secret
Isn't it strange how silence has ruled?
How little has been said, as if we are prepared
for the worst and just biding our time until the other shoe falls?
If honey bees are dying in record numbers and we are not concerned
enough to determine how really bad it is,
what does that say about our culture?
We are concerned about dead dinosaur bones...
We are concerned about dead sea turtles...
We are concerned about dead seals...
The humble honey bee and I assume
the bumblebee too are missing in action
and presumed dead.
Is the silence because we cannot bear to think of a world with
1/3 less fruit and what that will mean for our fragile ecosystem?
Is it because we are waiting for King Science to rule on the matter?
Or is it that the deep mystery of the honey bee
and specifically the Queen Bee,
is just too much like the Queen of Heaven,
the sweet Mother of Our Lord...
and that the Land of Milk (Mother's)
and Honey (Queen Bee's)
is beckoning us home
for as in the bestselling novel, The Secret Life of Bees,
we are dealing with UNIVERSAL TRUTH
that we are not prepared to accept.
The Holy Eucharist is the World's Greatest Secret,
He is brought to us by the the Mother of all the Living.
Sincerely yours in Jesus and Mary I am,
Mike Rizzio, SOLT

See you on the High Ground!
