The Our Father, Divine Mercy and the True Light
It is very telling that moths and other flying insects are mysteriously attracted to artificial light. Many nights as I rush through the screen door of our little home just outside of Corpus Christi, Texas, I ponder for a brief moment the meaning of their frantic movement and impending death due to flesh searing heat.
It seems that like the endangered sea turtles who track off the moon's reflected sunlight to make their way out into open water and are hopelessly confused by artificial light, we humans are equally disoriented by lumen facticius.
When I am surfing, or rather, trolling the web, I find so many esoteric/New Age reads that I begin to wonder if it is worth it to continue the battle. There is huge vacuum and this anti-light is filling it. They describe the same subject matter, but do so by removing our Judeo-Christian God, redefining terms and adding gnostic enticements. In other words knowingly or not, they lie.
A case in point is the term Omega Point. I have shied away from talking about this in the past because from my perspective, it is as dangerous as an open flame—it perverts the message of the Eucharist, Jesus Christ's Sacrifice of Calvary and His Glorious Resurrection. Yes, the ghost of Fr. Teilhard de Chardin, SJ is alive and well. He may not have predicted his canonization by the Aquarian Conspiracy, but he is one of its patron saints. I have read the book and it is telling. Conspiracy or not, there is verifiable truth on its pages and the Roman Catholic Church is the enemy.
There is a big difference, a big chasm between Jesus, the Scriptural Alpha and Omega, and the New Age Omega Point.
An under publicized Vatican document helps one discern between what is real and what is counterfeit. I printed it out and read it as part of my research in 2004 for I must keep checking to ensure that I stay on the right side of the fence. Any hint of heresy in what I believe to be true will cause me to cease and desist.
A Christian reflection on the “New Age”
and reflected on in lay formation classes.
Are we post-moderns naive enough to think that the rules of this engagement have changed as a result of our supposed Enlightenment and the advent of the Information Age?
It has always been and will alway be the same True Light and Life vs. Sin, Darkness and Death.
Today, the mesmerizing influence of esoteric and technological counterfeits is everywhere. The DaVinci Code and Harry Potter brilliantly display the power and might of Lucifer's assault on truth and the resultant manipulation and reeducation of the masses. New Age drugs like Lunestra are marketed so that kids associate luminous butterflies with good dreams and the need to take drugs.
As Church attendance continues to wane and belief in the Holy Eucharist falls to historic lows we really must ask ourselves: Have we forgotten the True Light?
FACT: The Light, Life and Love of God's Real Presence with us and sign of His Eternal Covenant is linked by God to the rainbow and the evil one currently has the rainbow captive in his camp. Without this light-based connective reality, we cannot complete the circuit to impress modern man with the Fullness of Truth. Children who must give up Noah's rainbow after they learn its associative relationship to sexual sin are prone to give up belief in a faith tradition that has seemingly let them down. This disruption to the human spirit receives scant attention in this age of toleration. The undoing of Santa Claus may have tramatic effects, but there is no comparison. When something TRUE, GOOD, AND BEAUTIFUL becomes the banner for something very bad, there has to be a great shock.
If alive today, I wonder how Teilhard would respond to the Rainbow Sash movement in U.S. cities where blatant homosexuals proudly abuse the sign of God's covenant as a way of furthering their social and sinful cause while directly attacking Holy Communion. Would he realize that his Mass of the World helped launch this effort that has rocked the Church to its very foundations? And would he carry a Rainbow Flag and risk being labeled a homosexual priest in an effort to undo the damage?
Yes we need the rainbow back, but I doubt we have the courage to take it by shear force of will.
We need God's help, we could use another Fatima.
And I could use help getting people to visit this blog...and a comment or two might lift my spirits.
