On the Critical Importance of Radiating Marian-Trinitarian Spirituality in this, the Third Christian Millennium
When Albert Einstein published his first great work in the miracle year (annus mirabilis) of 1905, it was entitled "On a Heuristic Viewpoint Concerning the Production and Transformation of Light"
In this groundbreaking paper the 26 year old patent clerk proposed the idea of energy quanta, luminous energy that can be absorbed or emitted only in discrete amounts, called quanta.
It was for this paper that he won the 1921 Nobel Prize for physics, the event that brought Einstein to the world's stage, one that conferred "sainthood" upon the discoverer of E=mc2.
The Father of the Atomic Age was "confirmed" in November of 1919 by Sir Arthur Eddington during a solar eclipse off the coast of the "dark continent" that seemed to prove the General Theory of Relativity by measuring the bending of starlight as it rounded the occulted sun.
In this largely overoverlooked paper Einstein states, "Energy, during the propagation of a ray of light, is not continuously distributed over steadily increasing spaces, but it consists of a finite number of energy quanta localised at points in space, moving without dividing and capable of being absorbed or generated only as entities."
As I continue to explore ways to build bridges of Light that focus on the doctrine of doctrines, the Most Holy Trinity, I find that the nature of the Supreme Being is all but forgotten in this day and age.
His mark is all around us, yet we refuse to see the myriad of analogies---the Light in HIS LIGHT.
The cathode ray tube that you are reading this blog on testifies to the trinitarian structure of optical light. RED-GREEN-BLUE. The CRT is a direct application of this "photoelectric effect" the buzzwords for Einstein's first great paper.
So I issue myself this challenge. I must write an essay on the critical import of "knowing, loving and serving" the Triune God (in imitation of Mary) now when the assault on the Church is so rampant, both from within and without.
I have been pondering whether I would launch this as an internet-wide challenge and offer a prize for the best essay.
The subject: On the Critical Importance of Radiating Marian-Trinitarian Spirituality in this, the Third Christian Millennium
The prize $3,333.
If I get a second, I will do it.
Sincerely yours in Jesus and Mary I am,
Mike Rizzio, SOLT
Seek the Light of Our Lord Jesus Christ
See you on the High Ground!
O Beata Trinitas, Saint Michael, Saint Gabriel and Saint Raphael
