Pope Benedict XVI—What's in a name?

J.M.J. + O.B.T.

Names carry a meaning in the Scriptures.
Daniel, for example, means "God is my Judge."
Joshua means, as does Jesus in the New Testament, "Jehovah is salvation."

Can this “insight” be put to good use in our day and age?

Translate JOSEPH from Hebrew to English
.......................JOSEPH: God will increase

Now, translate RATZINGER from German to English
.......................RAT: Advice
.......................ZINGER: Delivered with much zeal or energy

Finally, translate BENEDICT from Latin to English
.......................BENE: Good
.......................DICT: Spoken
blessed; blest; approved/praised/spoken well of

Putting it all together
it seems Pope Benedict's legacy might be:

Faith in God will increase when
He gifts the Church with his
energetic blessed counsel

Benedict, the Bridge-builder?

Just a thought
