On his third voyage to the Western Hemisphere, Christopher Columbus become the first European to discover the island we know as Trinidad. Columbus was inspired to name the land mass for the Triune God whom he saw manifest symbolically in the three hills in the southern end of this beautiful Caribbean Island. His third voyage was dedicated to the Holy Trinity and it was a difficult one.
